Two ways to ride the silence above the North Shore: a swift taste of soaring, or the long, deep voyage into the mountains.

The experience

Engineless flight, the way it was meant to feel.

A glider has no motor and no propeller, only wings, rising air, and a pilot who reads the sky. After the tow plane releases you, there is nothing between you and the coastline but silence. It is calm, smooth, and unlike anything an engine can offer. Perfect for first-time flyers, anniversaries, photographers, and anyone who has ever looked up and wondered.

How it works

Four steps to the sky

  1. Arrive & check in

Meet us at the field in Mokulēia. We'll confirm your flight, weigh in for balance, and talk through the day's air.

  2. Pre-flight briefing

Your licensed pilot walks you through the sailplane, the harness, and exactly what to expect from launch to landing.

  3. Aerotow launch & release

A powered tow plane lifts you to release altitude. The line drops, the propeller fades, and the world goes quiet.

  4. Soar & glide home

Ride the rising air along the ridge and coast, then settle into a smooth, gentle return to the grass.

Questions before you fly?

A few of the things first-time soarers ask us most. The full list lives on our About page.

All FAQs
  • Do I need any experience to fly?

None at all. Every flight is with an experienced, licensed pilot at the controls. You simply settle in, relax, and enjoy the view.

  • How does a glider stay up without an engine?

We're towed aloft by a powered plane, then release. From there the sailplane rides rising air, ridge lift off the mountains and thermals over the land, to stay airborne in near silence.

  • Where do you fly from?

Dillingham Airfield in Mokulēia, on O‘ahu's North Shore, about an hour from Waikīkī through some of the island's most beautiful country.
